This is the best sausage gravy for biscuits, bread, breakfast pizza, chicken fried steak.. and so on.
Ingredients

- Set a large frying pan to medium heat and add the ground sausage.
- As the sausage cooks stir in a healthy amount of ground/rubbed sage.
- Try not to let the sausage brown so the grease doesn't burn.
- Once sausage is ready sprinkle flour evenly over the sausage and stir it in so it coats the sausage and absorbs the grease.
- Add milk and a bit more sage then allow it to come to a simmer.
- Add pepper and salt to flavor.
- Once the gravy simmers turn the heat to low and let it reduce for a few minutes.
- Once the gravy is at your preferred consistency it's ready to serve.
