Best Sausage Gravy. EVER!!!

This is the best sausage gravy for biscuits, bread, breakfast pizza, chicken fried steak.. and so on.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Set a large frying pan to medium heat and add the ground sausage.
  2. As the sausage cooks stir in a healthy amount of ground/rubbed sage.
  3. Try not to let the sausage brown so the grease doesn't burn.
  4. Once sausage is ready sprinkle flour evenly over the sausage and stir it in so it coats the sausage and absorbs the grease.
  5. Add milk and a bit more sage then allow it to come to a simmer.
  6. Add pepper and salt to flavor.
  7. Once the gravy simmers turn the heat to low and let it reduce for a few minutes.
  8. Once the gravy is at your preferred consistency it's ready to serve.
